Dolomites
We had 10 days to explore the Dolomites area. We drove around a bunch since we didn’t know much about the Dolomites and then went on a 2 day hike with zero plans whatsoever. Looking back, it was super fun, in the moment, a bit scary.

After a rainy night.

Fake trail running for the photos..

Boiling pasta at a parking lot.

Hmm, supposed to be a landmark here.

Views after a rainy morning.

Lots of cow friends were made.

Overjoyed at the view.

Rocking up to a cottage after sunset, lucky they let us in.

One of the coldest nights of my life.

Happy to find food.

Onwards to that pass tomorrow!

A kind stranger let us take a photo of their guidebook.

Sleeping situation.

Just as sketchy as it looks.

Some famous boulders at the Dolomites.

All that climbing to reach a point people get to by cable car.

Done with the climbing, time to go down.

An endless afternoon of zigzagging down.

Layers of rock.

Caught a glimpse of a mountain goat.

Second pass of the day, coming up.

First morning, getting closer to the mountains.

Rain caught up to us at the Giau pass.

Hanging around.

Can never say no to apple pie on a rainy day.

A kind Japanese tourist offered to take our photo.

Picnic by the lake

Glamorous camping life.

Found a camping spot but was afraid of potential axe murderers, so we drove through the night to a camp ground.

Tea break at a peaceful meadow that gave us 3+ ticks.

After a 30 km day with two passes...

Thanks for keeping me company while I drive.

Italian breakfast. Or am I kidding myself?

Finishing the trip at Vittorio Veneto.
